A man trying to break up a fight outside a Fort Worth restaurant died early Saturday after being pinned between two cars, police said.
The incident began about 2:30 a.m. Saturday outside the El Mil Taco restaurant on Hemphill Street in Fort Worth. A 24-year-old man was attempting to break up a fight in the parking lot when a green Toyota pickup slammed into him, pinning him against a black Ford pickup.
Both vehicles left the scene, and paramedics arrived to find the man in critical condition. He died of his injuries at a nearby hospital, police said. He was not immediately identified.
The Toyota was later found, being driven by Vincent Chaivez, 36, police said. He will likely face charges, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
