Police seek witness to fatal accident in North Richland Hills

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Police appealed for help Thursday to find motorists who may have witnessed a fatal accident on Oct. 1 on Boulevard 26.

Investigators also want to find anyone who may have seen the victim walking in the area.

The victim was identified as Shane Hindman, 31, of Grapevine, who died at the scene after being hit by a car.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the 8700 block of Boulevard 26, near the Tarrant County College Northeast campus.

Hindman, who was wearing a bright yellow t-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a blue sweat top, was on the side of the road when he was hit by a 2003 Kia that was southbound on the highway, police said.

The 22-year-old Fort Worth motorist stopped after hitting the victim, police said.
