A 16-year-old was taken by helicopter ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital after he fell off the trunk of a moving car on Tuesday at Arborwood Trail and West Cleburne Road, police said.
The call came into police about 4:20 p.m., according to the dispatch log. Police were told that the teen fell off the moving car and hit his head on the pavement. Officers discovered that there were four teenage girls inside the vehicle and two teenage boys riding on the trunk of the white 2003 Chevrolet Malibu.
When the driver made a sharp turn one of the teenage boys fell off the trunk and hit his head on the curb. The driver was issued a citation for driving without a driver's license, the mother of the driver got a citation for allowing her daughter to drive a vehicle without a license, and the other teen riding on the trunk of the car received a citation for improper riding.
