Girl, 10, reports assault at school bus stop

A 10-year-old girl told her school principal she was inappropriately touched while waiting for the school bus early Monday. The student attends West Elementary School, 2911 Kingswood Drive, in the Arlington school district.

She told police she was at the bus stop at Camp Wisdom Road and Sand River Drive about 7:30 a.m. when a man about 6 feet tall wearing a white ski mask approached her from behind, grabbed her and touched her all over her clothing, then fled when he realized a bus was approaching.

The man was described as having blue eyes and wearing a black shirt and pants. A letter was sent to parents informing them of the incident and advising them to take measures to protect their children.
