A man was wounded during a shooting early Monday as he was leaving a club in south Fort Worth, police said.
The 40-year-old man was leaving the parking lot of the club in the 2900 block of Mitchell Boulevard when he noticed a man with a handgun, said Lt. Paul Henderson, police spokesman.
"For some unstated reason the man opened fire on the victim striking his 1999 Dodge Durango several times," Henderson said. "The victim felt pain in his back however continued to drive towards his residence.
"He reached around his back and felt blood."

The man was followed home by a friend in another vehicle. He told his friend that he had been shot, Henderson said.
His friend told police that "he too had been shot at and heard several bullets hit his 2001 Chevrolet Suburban," Henderson said.
The man who was shot was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the lower back, Henderson said.
Police later on Monday morning had no suspects or arrest in the case, Henderson said.
