Southlake Carroll’s game against Galena Park North Shore scheduled for Saturday at Dragon Stadium has been canceled, both team’s coaches confirmed.
North Shore was forced to pull out due to ongoing issues related to Hurricane Ike, North Shore coach David Aymond said.
"We still have so many kids without power," Aymond said. "Today was our first day to see our players in 12 days."
Carroll coach Hal Wasson said he learned the game was in doubt Sunday morning.

"It’s out of our control," Wasson said. "It is what it is."
The Dragons' game against Houston Bellaire on Sept. 12 was canceled when the hurricane forced many Houston-area school districts to cancel events. Carroll has found an opponent to replace one of the two missed games. Katy Cinco Ranch has agreed to travel to Dragon Stadium for a game at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3.
