Hungry robbers get pizza, wings in Euless holdup

EULESS -- These robbery suspects must have been hungry.

Two young men, a woman and a 16-year-old juvenile were in custody Friday after police say they robbed a Domino’s Pizza delivery man of hot wings and pizza Thursday night.

The four also are accused of stealing the man’s money and keys.

Police identified the young men as Chris Bennett, 17, and Eric Rankin, 21, and the woman as Ashley Hamilton, 21. Generally, the Star-Telegram does not identify teens who are 16-years-old and younger because they are juveniles.

Rankin, Bennett and Hamilton are in the Euless City Jail on suspicion of robbery.

The holdup happened about 10 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Fullerwiser Road.

The delivery man told police that he was at the complex to deliver the food when he was robbed.

The investigation led police to the suspects who lived in the same complex. The delivery man's car keys and the pizza were recovered, police said.

Investigators say they believe the four also were involved in a holdup last week at the complex where a man was robbed of his cell phone and money.
