Man shot multiple times in southeast Arlington, but expected to live

A man believed to be in his 20s was shot multiple time Thursday evening in southeast Arlington, although his wounds did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

The shooting was reported 7:25 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Almandora Drive in southeast Arlington, according to reports.

The man was taken by ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, said Officer Zhivonni McDonnell, police spokeswoman.

"His injuries are not life-threatening," she said. "Our detectives are working diligently through every lead."

No other information about the case, however, was available Friday afternoon.

The crime scene was in a residential area south of Debbie Lane but west of Texas 360. The neighborhood is also west of Joe Pool Lake.
