The Winscott Road bridge in Benbrook was briefly closed late Thursday night while state highway officials checked for damage from a four-vehicle wreck that killed a truck driver.
It reopened around 11:30 p.m. after officials determined it was safe, said Michael Peters, spokesman for the Texas Department of Transportation on Friday.
Also Friday, officials released the name of the truck driver who died.
Harry Comes, 49, was identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

The medical examiner listed his address as Kenefic, Okla., but a search of public records also showed he had an address in Paso Robles, California.
The accident was reported about 7:15 p.m. on SW Loop 820, said Lt. Mike Ford, a police spokesman.
Investigators believe the tractor-trailer driven by Comes veered across traffic to the right and ran under the Winscott Road bridge, Ford said.
The rig sideswiped three other vehicles and a woman who was driving one of those vehicles, a pickup, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Ford said.
