Customers become robbers at Fort Worth bar

FORT WORTH -- Some tip.

Police say two men stopped by for a few drinks at a Fort Worth bar Thursday morning, then returned a short time later and robbed the business.

The robbery took place about 12:10 a.m. at Brenda’s Place at 714 West Jessamine Street, according to a police report.

Lt. Paul Henderson, police spokesman, said the men had been at the bar just prior to the robbery, had a few beers, then left. They returned with rifles and ordered occupants to empty their wallets, pockets and purses, Henderson said. They also demanded money from the bar’s register, he said.

The men may have fled in a blue or gray truck.

No one was injured.
