FORT WORTH -- Police are investigating the reported attempted assault of a woman on the Trinity Trails in southwest Fort Worth.
A 46-year-old Benbrook woman told police she was walking alone on the trail near Bryant Irvin Road about 6 a.m. Sunday when she noticed a man standing behind a tree, according to a police report. She said she turned and started walking the other way, but the man followed and grabbed her from behind.
The man dragged her toward some bushes and she yelled for help, the report stated. She said the man told her to “shut up” and cursed at her.
After the woman kept yelling, the man let her go, the report stated. He ran toward some nearby apartments.

The woman was not injured, the report stated.
The Trinity Trails are popular biking, walking and jogging trails.
