A 14-year-old boy is recovering after being shot while walking down a Fort Worth street Friday night, police said.
The teen, who police said is a member of the Vatos Locos street gang, was shot in the leg around 11 p.m. as he was walking on Deen Road. According to police reports, a dark-colored car stopped near the boy, and two suspects got out of the car and started shooting at the victim. The boy, who started running when multiple gun shots rang out, didn't realize he had been hit until he made it to a residence in the 2500 block of Dundee Avenue.
The victim was transported to Cook Children's Medical Center in fair condition and is expected to recover.
