FORT WORTH -- A north Fort Worth eight-liner business had an unlucky morning after two armed men forced their way into the business and stole approximately $2,000 and the security guard’s gun.
The robbery occurred about 1 a.m. this morning at the Hollywood Palms Eight Liners at 3655 N. Beach Street.
Lt. Paul Henderson, a police spokesman, said a 22-year-old security guard was outside when he saw two men walking toward the business. Fearing they were up to no good, the guard went inside and attempted to the lock the door but the men pushed their way inside, Henderson said.
Henderson said the robbers, both armed with guns, threatened the guard and took his holstered gun from him before demanding keys to the safe. He said a 46-year-old manager, also inside the business, opened the safe and gave the two men about $2,000.
