No one was seriously hurt but a lot of people might be late for work because of multi-vehicle wreck that caused a seven-mile traffic jam early Tuesday on Interstate 35W, just north of downtown Fort Worth, according to reports.
The wreck was reported about 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I35W near the merge with Texas 121, also called the Airport Freeway. The wreck was cleared by about 7:30 a.m., but the backup unwound slowly.
Traffic was snarled about seven miles north to the U.S. 287 cut-off, Traffic.com reported.
A police report stated that three or four vehicles and ambulances were summoned, but no one had to go to the hospital, said a dispatcher for MedStar Ambulance.
