FORT WORTH -- Police are continuing to investigate the fatal shooting of a man outside his Fort Worth apartment Monday evening.
The victim, who has not been positively identified, is believed to be a 27-year-old man who had just recently moved into the apartment in the backyard of a residence in the 3400 block of Ave. E.
The suspect went to the front of the house looking for the victim, said Lt. Dan Draper, a police spokesman.
He said the homeowner directed the man to the back apartment where the victim lived.

"The witness said, 'He lives back there,'" Draper said. "The witness actually saw them talking back there, then he saw the guy draw the gun and shoot the victim."
Homicide Sgt. J.D. Thornton said the victim was shot multiple times in the torso.
He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital where he was pronounced dead about four hours after the shooting.
"I understand the victim had only lived there maybe a week or two," Draper said. "Even the witness didn't know him real well."
No arrests have been made as of this morning, Thornton said.
