Ruptured gas line at Western Center Blvd. in Fort Worth fixed

FORT WORTH -- Workers have repaired a ruptured gas line at Western Center Boulevard and Interstate 35W in north Fort Worth that was leaking, said Rand LaVonn, an Atmos Energy spokesman.

LaVonn said the line was leaking for less than an hour.

Traffic was rerouted around the area while emergency crews worked to resolve the gas leak.

Lt. Kent Worley, a Fort Worth fire department spokesman, said a construction crew apparently ruptured the line, causing the leak around Western Center, just east of the north freeway.
