FORT WORTH -- Northbound traffic on Interstate 35W was flowing again at about 8 a.m. after it had been backed up Friday at Basswood Boulevard in north Fort Worth where an early-morning wreck had closed all but one lane.
The accident was reported at 5:45 a.m., police said.
Gridlock persisted for about two hours as it stretched about five miles south, past the intersection with North Loop 820, to about Meacham Boulevard.
Traffic.com reported that only the left lane was open and a vehicle was in the ditch, although a dispatcher for MedStar Ambulance Service said no one needed to go to the hospital.
