FORT WORTH -- Love me tender indeed.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested early Wednesday after police say she repeatedly struck her estranged husband with a steel meat tenderizer.
Danielle D. Chastain faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The woman's 35-year-old estranged husband told police that he and his wife are going through a divorce and that he had gone to her home in the 5000 block of Tierney Court North to visit his daughter.

But the victim told police that while there, he and his estranged wife began to argue. He said Chastain began punching him in the face and head before grabbing a steel meat tenderizer and striking him with it on the arms, back and head. She also bit him on the arm before damaging his truck and then leaving in her car, he told police.
According to a police report, officers observed "a very clear waffle-like pattern" to the injuries on the man's arm.
Chastain was arrested after returning to the home while officers were still there. "What happened?" she asked officers, according to the police report.
