A woman who reportedly was barricaded with a gun to her head at an apartment complex in south Fort Worth has surrendered peacefully, police said.
The woman was taken into custody at 8:19 a.m. after police negotiators convinced her to surrender, said Lt. Paul Henderson, police spokesman.
Officers went to the apartments in the 2700 block of Hemphill Street after a concerned person called at about 6 a.m. and said the woman, believed to be in her mid- to late-30s, was behaving suicidal in an apartment.
"The caller advised that the woman has a gun to her head walking around inside the apartment," said Henderson said.

The SWAT team responded with negotiators who eventually convinced her to surrender, Henderson said.
He added that the woman would be taken to John Peter Smith hospital for evaluation.
"We are very pleased that this dangerous situation was resolved without loss of life or injury," he said.
