HURST -- A Tarrant County bailiff died Monday night from injuries he received in a traffic accident on Texas 10 as he drove home from work, authorities said Tuesday.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Blake George, 40, of Euless.
George died at Harris Methodist Fort Worth hospital a few hours after the accident, which occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday at Texas 10 and Norwood Drive.
George was eastbound on Texas 10 riding a motorcycle when he was hit by a Honda Civic as the car attempted to turn south on Norwood Drive, police said.

“She had a solid green light,” Hurst Assistant Police Chief Steve Niekamp said Tuesday. “We don’t know if she just didn’t seem him or what.”
The 19-year-old Fort Worth motorist was treated at the scene.
George was a bailiff in Criminal District Court No. 213 where he had just started on July 12. He had been with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department for 14 years.
Tarrant County Sheriff Department Chaplain David Barrett said Tuesday that George, also a professional fisherman, had a son who had just been deployed to Iraq a few days ago.
Funeral arrangement are pending.
