A section of Copeland Road from Collins Street east to Convention Center Drive in Arlington will be converted to a one-way eastbound frontage road from Interstate 30 beginning Wednesday at 9 a.m.
The stretch of street will have two eastbound lanes when workers are finished striping and changing signal lights.
Businesses along the road will be accessible throughout the changeover work, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Transportation. Two-way traffic will remain from Convention Center Drive east to Texas 360.
Eastbound Interstate 30 traffic will be detoured onto the eastbound section of Copeland Road during the demolition of the northbound Collins Street bridge, which is set for August, transportation officials said.
