COLLEYVILLE -- Police appealed for help Friday to identify a burglar who was involved in three smash-and-grab cases in which the suspect covered his face with a blanket and wore socks on his hands to prevent leaving fingerprints.
The burglar took cash registers and an undetermined amount of cash early Wednesday from three businesses on Colleyville Boulevard.
Investigators are hoping that a motorist or resident may have seen something or someone in the area of the burglaries.
An employee at Friendly Cleaners at 4843 Colleyville Boulevard discovered a break-in shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A front window was smashed and a cash drawer was stolen, police said.

At 6:44 a.m., police responded to a break-in at Twin Kell Cleaners at 4902 Colleyville Boulevard. A rock was thrown through a front window and a cash register taken, police said. The cash drawer was found a short distance away, police said.
At this store, a store video from a surveillance camera showed the burglar using the blanket to hide from the camera. It also showed the burglar wearing socks.
Shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a call at Sunny's Tailor at 5407 Colleyville Boulevard. A burglar used a large rock to smash a window, enter the business and take cash, police said.
Police say they believe the burglar used the same vehicle but investigators did not release any details.Anyone with information on any of the cases should call Colleyville police at 817-503-1200.
