Police have detained a 16-year-old who is suspected of shooting a 17-year-old Arlington resident.
Police said Wednesday that the shooting appears to be gang related.
The juvenile turned himself in to police Wednesday and will be held at the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center, where he faces charges of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, said Lt. Blake Miller, police spokesman.
The 17-year-old was shot in the face and abdomen while standing in front of a residence in the 1200 block of Gibbins Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday. He was taken by helicopter ambulance to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
