Willow Park residents are under strict water rationing until further notice because a large amount of water is missing from two storage tanks.
Mayor Marvin Glasgow said that the level in the two storage tanks fell to less than 50 percent over the weekend, prompting the state-mandated water rationing.
Glasgow said the water department traced the source to a meter on a fire hydrant located at McCall Elementary School, which is scheduled to open in August.
A water department employee said 1.7 million has been pumped out the fire hydrant of the two tanks over the past seven days, he said.
