A 79-year-old Arlington man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease was safely back home on Wednesday after a woman recognized him from a "Silver Alert" and noticed him driving in Euless, police said.
Rodney Earl Pirkle was located at about 11 p.m. Tuesday on Farm Road 157 in Euless, a police spokesperson said.
The woman saw him driving north on the road in Arlington and followed him into Euless, the spokeswoman said.
Pirkle was reported missing after he was last seen 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Great Clips, 965 W. Lamar Boulevard.

He was driving a red 2000 Chevrolet Blazer and he last used his credit card on Bonnie View Road in Dallas, according to police.
Pirkle, however, was unharmed when he was located Tuesday night, the spokeswoman said.
