FORT WORTH -- A two-hour traffic jam cleared at about 1:20 p.m. Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 20 at McCart Avenue, where a tractor-trailer lost a large tank that was lodged beneath the McCart Avenue bridge, according to reports.
The incident was reported at 11:20 a.m., a police dispatcher said.
The large tank was knocked off the trailer because it was not low enough to clear the underside of the McCart Avenue bridge, said Michael Peters, spokesman for the Texas Department of Transportation.
McCart Avenue spans I-20, very near the TxDOT complex on McCart.

Heavy equipment was used to move the tank from beneath the bridge.
Meanwhile, traffic backed up as far as Trail Lake Drive, about two miles, until the tank was removed from the interstate.
