A 33-year-old woman died Friday afternoon in a fire at her home in the 4100 block of Brookline Avenue in southeast Fort Worth.
Family members identified the woman as Gloria Daniels.
Fire officials said neighbors saw smoke coming from the house that is just west of Miller Avenue, at about 2 p.m. and called 911.
Arriving fire units found both the front and back doors locked and had to force their way into the house, which was filled with smoke, fire officials said.

When firefighters kicked open a bedroom door, they encountered a flash fire that was quickly extinguished. They found the woman's body on the bedroom floor with burns to her legs and hands, fire officials said.
Daniels lived alone in the house, fire officials said. She was in the process of getting a divorce, and her husband has custody of their children, they said.
The electricity had recently been turned off in the home, officials said.
No cause had been determined, but fire officials said they believe it started in the bedroom.
Fire officials estimated damage to the house and its contents at $20,000.
