Southbound traffic was blocked for about an hour early Wednesday afternoon in Hillsboro as police and firefighters worked to free a person who was trapped in the wreckage of a two-vehicle accident, a police dispatcher said.
The accident was reported at 12:33 p.m. on Interstate 35 at mile marker 368B, said Crystal Wilson, the dispatcher.
The area was on the east side of Hillsboro, south of where the interstate splits into I-35W and I-35E.
A Dodge pickup and a van were involved in the wreck, Wilson said.
