Dozens of reports of broken vehicle windows in north Fort Worth are being investigated by detectives, a police spokesman said.
As many as 37 instances have been reported so far in the North Patrol Division, said Lt. Paul Henderson, the spokesman.
"We believe pellet guns were used," Henderson said.
The instances were made over a wide area north of North Loop 820 and along Heritage Trace Parkway, said Sgt. Mark Allen of the North division's detective squad.

"It occurs from time to time," Henderson said. "The last time was in South Division. They were eventually caught."
The latest crimes are being classified as "criminal mischief," which is considered a misdemeanor but it can be upgraded to a state jail felony, depending on the severity of the damage.
Police on Tuesday were working on leads in the case, Henderson said, but no arrests were reported.
Anyone with information can call North Division detectives, he said.
