FORT WORTH -- This robber is no cigar aficionado, police say.
A robber who targets convenience stores under the ruse of buying a cigar has struck again, police say.
The latest robbery occurred about 5:45 p.m. Thursday at the Bino Food Mart, 311 N.W. 25th Street. Police say the robber approached the store clerk, asked for a cigar and then handed the employee a dollar bill to pay for it.
When the clerk opened the register, the man pulled out a pistol, reached over the counter and grabbed a handful of cash before fleeing on foot, police said.
