Mesquite police are looking for an armed bank robber who shot two female bank employees before leaving, according to a Federal Bureau of Investigation spokesman.
The gunman, who was wearing a large bandage strip over his nose, entered the Compass Bank in the 3100 block of North Galloway Avenue shortly after 9 a.m.
It was unclear Friday morning why the gunmen shot the women, said Mark White, a Dallas FBI spokesman.
The women were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, White said.

The 5-foot-10 inch suspect was last seen wearing black jeans, a work shirt and a backpack. He was last seen leaving the bank with his chrome handgun in an unknown direction, White said.
The shooting caused Mesquite school officials to close at least 10 nearby schools, including Poteet High School, which is adjacent to the bank.
