Motorists should expect Interstate 30 lane closures on Wednesday and Thursday nights because of Center Street bridge construction.
Eastbound I-30 will be narrowed to one lane near Collins Street between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday. Motorists will be diverted onto the service road via a temporary exit ramp just west of Collins Street and will be allowed to re-enter the highway via a temporary entrance ramp farther east, said Val Lopez, a spokeswoman for the state Transportation Department.
The same thing will happen to motorists traveling on westbound I-30 between 9 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday. The Center Street bridge is expected to open this fall, Lopez said.
