The child killed Thursday in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 35W in south Burleson has been identified as Nicholas Xiong, 12, of North St. Paul, Minn., according to a news release.
Other family members remain in area hospitals, fire chief Gary Wisdom said in the release.
The father, Charles Hauschildt was released Friday, but his wife Stacy, 32, is listed in serious condition. Their two children, Ashley Xiong, 14, and Jared Hauschildt, 6, are in critical condition, said Burleson traffic officer D. Wardlaw.
The family members were wearing seat belts.

The accident occurred shortly after noon Thursday as the family of five traveled north along Interstate 35W. The Toyota Rav 4 stopped or slowed down and was rear-ended by a Central Freight tractor-trailer.
The vehicle was pushed onto the service road on the right side of the highway.
The accident is still under investigation, officials said.
