FORT WORTH -– A 23-year-old Marine who served three tours of duty in Iraq has been indicted on a capital murder charge in connection with the fatal stabbing of his former live-in girlfriend.
A Tarrant County grand jury returned the indictment on Wednesday against Eric Ramon Acevedo. He is accused of stabbing 32-year-old Mollieann Worden on March 22 inside her Saginaw home.
Saginaw police have said that Acevedo broke into Worden's townhouse in the 300 block of Cambridge Drive through a front window, prompting Worden and a neighbor to call 911.
When officers arrived, they found that Worden had been stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife. Officers saw Acevedo in the parking lot and arrested him.
