DALLAS -- A woman suffered serious cuts from a machete when she was attacked Friday morning by her boyfriend after an argument, police said.
The woman had cuts on her arm and face from the attack, police said. She was transported by helicopter ambulance to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in critical condition, police said. Earlier reports indicated that the woman’s arm was nearly severed.
The attack happened about 3 a.m. in the 4000 block of Rocky Road in north Dallas. The location is near the intersection of Harvest Hill Road, just south of Interstate 635, the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway.
Her boyfriend fled after the attack, but he was arrested about 6:45 a.m. in the 13,000 block of Maham Road, Dallas police Sgt. Gil Cerda said Friday.
