A weekly high school football program produced by the Star-Telegram for the Web has been honored by the Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
"High School Huddle," hosted by staff writer Rick Herrin and edited by video editor Adam Rodriguez, made its debut at the start of the 2007 season. It is shot each week in the Star-Telegram’s newsroom studio and posted at dfwvarsity.com, the newspaper’s high school sports site.
The 12-minute program was honored in the Sports category of the chapter’s EMMY Advanced Media Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in content for broadband and portable delivery.
