FORT WORTH — A man and woman were arrested Wednesday night in southeast Texas on capital warrants accusing them in the robbery and fatal beating of a 52-year-old man inside his west Fort Worth apartment last month.
Nicole Wyrick, 28, and Alejandro Munoz, 30, were arrested at the Port Lavaca home of one of Munoz’s relatives, said homicide Sgt. J.D. Thornton.
The pair are accused in the robbery and death of Gilbert Harper, who was found dead inside his apartment in the 7600 block of Elizabeth Lane West on the morning of April 25.
Police and paramedics had responded to the apartment after receiving an anonymous call, made from a payphone at the Sack’n Save grocery store at 7809 Camp Bowie W., requesting an ambulance to the residence, according to a police report.

When no one answered a knock on the door, police entered the apartment though the unlocked front door and found Harper’s body in a front bedroom with obvious trauma, the report states.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office ruled Harper’s death a homicide, caused by crushing blows to the face and head.
Thornton said Detective Sarah Jane Waters and Michel Carroll traveled to Port Lavaca on Wednesday night and were interviewing the suspects Thursday. He declined to release more information about a possible motive in the case.
