GRAPEVINE -- Police climbed to the roof of an electronics store late Sunday to bust a man believed to be stealing more than $20,000 worth of copper.
Corey Edward Pruitt, 38, of Lewisville was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal mischief. He was in the Grapevine Jail on Monday, with bail not yet set.
Police responded to a call about 8:30 p.m. Sunday from a Best Buy employee saying workers thought they heard someone on the roof of the building along Texas 114.
Officers surrounded the building and found a man, later identified as Pruitt, on the roof stacking copper wiring. When the man saw the officers, he tried to run, according to the report.
