A Grand Prairie woman's death that police initially thought was accidental is now classified as a homicide.
Tara Lee Pittman, 32, died on Dec. 15 after being struck by several vehicles in the 400 block of Texas 360, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s Web site.
After an initial investigation, police concluded that Pittman was trying to cross the busy freeway on foot. Now police said they believe Pittman was pushed out of a speeding truck during an argument with a man about a methamphetamine deal.
Charles L. Baker, 37, was in Tarrant County jail Tuesday facing a murder charge. Bail was set at $500,000.
