A Haltom City man has been indicted in the strangulation of a Fort Worth woman whose body was found last summer at a city park.
A Tarrant County grand jury in Fort Worth returned the decision Wednesday against Jackie Dale Easley, 56, who remained in the Tarrant County Jail on Friday with bail set at $100,000. The indictment charged Easley with murder.
Easley is accused of killing Rebecca Lynn Todd, 49, whose body was found June 7 at Buffalo Ridge Park, 5720 Parkwood Trail.
Witnesses tipped investigators to Easley after he gave details of the killing to acquaintances. Police declined to comment on the details.
