Robber hits fast food restaurant in Burleson

Burleson police are searching for a man who robbed a Wendy’s restaurant early Tuesday of an undetermined amount of money from the safe and cash register.

Sally Ellertson, a spokeswoman for the city said that a male employee of the Wendy’s restaurant in the 800 block of East Alsbury Boulevard walked outside to empty trash shortly after midnight when the suspect, described as a black male, pointed a gun at his head.

As the employee walked back in to the restaurant, the gunman followed him inside and demanded that a female employee open the safe. The robber then took cash from the safe and money from a cash register before he fled through the back door.

Fort Worth police helped search for the robber, but no one was caught.
