Miller said it appears that robbery was a motive.
Miller said police took Taylor and Hopgood into custody on unrelated charges. Taylor is being held on outstanding warrants. Hopgood is being held on warrants for assault and drug possession.
Police said the assailant was a black male, early 20s, 6 foot 1 inch and 250 pounds. He may have fled in a green older-model Chevy Malibu.
