EULESS — Two men were injured and southbound Industrial Boulevard was shut down early Monday after a wreck that dumped a truckload of sand near Trinity High School.
Both men were taken to hospitals, one by helicopter, but neither appeared to have life-threatening injuries, police spokesman Lt. John Williams said.
Three 18-wheelers loaded with sand were in a single-file caravan before the 7:30 a.m. crash, Williams said. The third truck failed to slow quickly enough and glanced off the second truck and crashed into the front truck, spilling that truck’s load, Williams said.
Traffic was diverted between Harwood Road and Midway Drive during the cleanup, and the effort was expected to take until about noon, Williams said.
