You might not get him to turn his Voice chair around for you, but you could be part of a video featuring country superstar Blake Shelton doing the opening theme for NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2016 NASCAR season’s second half.
During next week’s Duck Commander 500 NASCAR doubleheader, Texas Motor Speedway will host a casting call for the video, which will also feature TMS as the backdrop. NBC Sports’ coverage of the second half of the season will feature November’s AAA Texas 500 at TMS.
The casting call is for fans to be part of the stage-side crowd as Shelton performs his hit Bringing Back the Sunshine. To register for the casting call, download Texas Motor Speedway’s mobile app, which is available on iTunes and Google Play.
Arrival time is 9 a.m. Friday, April 8, at the Infield of Texas Motor Speedway. Filming takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at TMS. No cellphones, video cameras or recorders will be allow in the speedway during the recording (in other words, leave them in your car, or don’t take them at all). No large bags will be allowed.
And there’s a dress code: TMS asks that everyone in attendance either wear a plain shirt with no logo OR a shirt featuring their favorite NASCAR driver.
