You had to look close to see it — although some viewers have some pretty sharp eyes — but while KDFW/Channel 4 reporter Shannon Murray was doing a live report Wednesday morning for “Good Day,” she got a visit from a little friend.

An eight-legged one. Crawling down her arm.

Murray appeared not to notice the spider, but viewers pointed it out on social media, and “Good Day” had a field day revisiting the report. The field day, more than tthe report, is posted on the Fox 4 News Facebook page.

Murray kept composed, although she did say later via social media that she did feel something crawling down her arm — but didn’t realize that it was a fairly large spider.

“For those asking, YES I felt it! But I had no idea it was a spider until a VIEWER let me know on Facebook! EEK,” Murray says on the station’s Facebook page.

The story has gotten a lot of action on Fox 4’s social media, with more than 600 shares on the Fox 4 News Facebook page and more than 12,000 views for the Facebook video.

If you type “TV reporter freaks out at bug” into the YouTube search engine, you’ll get a lot of hits. Just think, Murray could have reacted like this guy.
