Avoca for coffee, Il Calabrese for spaghetti; and where on Sunday morning?

Hey, Bud!

Avoca Coffee was ranked one of the world's 150 best coffee experiences. Is it worth it?

—Alan, Fort Worth

That's an impressive honor for the little West Magnolia Avenue coffee cafe, surviving against all odds mainly because it sells a few dinner items and pastries along with coffee. (I recommend beating the crowds and going to the second Avoca, on the east side of the Foch Street Warehouses.)

Hey, Bud! For a late Mother's Day lunch, any idea who would have excellent spaghetti and meatballs in the Grapevine-Southlake area?

—Flynd, Fort Worth

Buca di Beppo is a familiar chain, but I'd also ask Il Calabrese in Southlake.

Hey, Bud! Where is the best Sunday morning breakfast? Most places aren't open.

—Kelly, Grapevine

Based on social media, the favorites seem to be: 1. DeVivo Cafe, Keller; 2, Beacon Cafe, north of Saginaw; 3. West Side Cafe, Fort Worth; 4. River Oaks Cafe and 5. Yolk in Sundance Square. (More suggestions: the Tavern, Jazz Cafe or Vickery Blvd. Cafe..)
