One Arlington restaurant failed its health inspection and one was required to submit to a follow-up inspection after health inspectors found problems in the establishments between Oct. 17 to Oct. 23, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Saltgrass Steakhouse on Lamar Boulevard failed with a score of 69 out of 100 from an inspection on Oct. 19, according to the data. Gilberto’s Taco Shop on East Abram Street was required to have a follow-up inspection after it received a 74 out of 100 on Oct. 21.

Arlington does not list the reasons for the demerits against restaurants inspected and the city’s health services, which handles inspections, did not immediately reply to a request for information.

Arlington grades restaurants on a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 being a perfect score. A score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor, but restaurants that have serious health code violations or that inspectors deem needing a follow-up inspection can be required to have one, no matter the score.

No restaurants inspected during this period received a perfect score.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Arlington for the week of Oct. 17th - 23rd, 2021. A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less. If serious health and sanitation violations are considered an imminent health hazard, the restaurant will be closed until the identified health hazard has been mitigated.
