The Magnolia neighborhood is on the verge of getting a new hot spot in a prime location.
The latest addition to the Fort Worth scene is the brainchild of owners Derek Scheler, Stephen Hominick and chef Jordan Rogers. It will feature craft cocktails and an impressive food menu that will be served in the venue’s front room.
Items on the upscale menu include portobello white pizza and spicy lobster flatbreads, and Italian beef (venison) and chicken caprese panini. Featured entrees include pasta carbonara, tomato basil pasta, crab ravioli and steak Florentine.
The new venue also will have two patios: the upstairs Sky Bar, which features a panoramic view of the downtown Fort Worth skyline, and the Backstage patio on the lower level behind the music hall’s stage.
The Sky Bar is destined to be one of the hottest hangout spots in DFW. Designed as a place to mingle and enjoy adult beverages, the upstairs bar will offer limited food options, including seasoned oysters and cheese trays. A 65-inch screen framed in upstairs with Bose speakers will show the concert that is going on downstairs in the music hall.
The Backstage patio is separated from the stage by a huge garage door and will be opened up for big shows with limited ticketed access. This patio also will be the spot for the restaurant’s Sunday brunch service.
The music hall itself is an intimate setting for live music of all genres and holds roughly 150 people depending on the setup. It includes seven “suites” ranging from four to 10 capacity that will have wraparound couches and tables. One of the suites is sure to be in demand by music fans as it is located on the side of the stage. Each of the suites will feature bottle service and will be available for reservations for concerts.
The Fairmount Music Hall’s opening coincides with the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards and Summit that will be taking place in Arlington, March 2-3. On the venue’s opening day, it will host a pre-party for the TRRMA awards show, and each evening there will be an after-party at the back at the venue.
It will open daily at 11 a.m. and stay open until 2 a.m. on nights when it has live music. A late-night food menu will be available.
