Kaaboo Texas, a festival that “features equal parts world-class music, household names in comedy, contemporary art, gourmet cuisine and craft libations, and personal indulgences,” is coming to Arlington next May.
“Personal indulgences,” eh? Well, you can do plenty of that with gourmet cuisine and craft libations. And if all that makes you already want to get in line, you can get passes to the festival (May 10-12 at AT&T Stadium) starting Thursday.
Per a release:
“Early bird three-day Lone Star (GA) passes will go on sale at $259, while three-day Blue Star and Rockstar (VIP) passes will start at $899 and $3,999, respectively.” (You read that last figure correctly.)

“Blue Star features premium stage viewing; exclusive culinary options for purchase; private restrooms; access to the Thursday night AMPLIFY Sneak Peek Party; and more.
“Rockstar includes all the features of Blue Star” plus access to up-front and on-stage viewing; exclusive meet and greet opportunities with Kaaboo performers; complimentary beverages and food provided and more.
“For those looking for an entirely immersive experience, Kaaboo offers the Ultimate Hang pass.” They don’t even mention the price on that one. “Get the full scoop at kaabootexas.com/get-yours. Pass prices are subject to change and will increase periodically.”
Who are these performers you’ll see onstage? You’ll have to take a risk on that: The lineup hasn’t been announced yet. The recently concluded Kaaboo Del Mar in the San Diego area, however, featured concert performers ranging from Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant to Katy Perry, along with Grapevine’s Post Malone, Blondie, Imagine Dragons, Foo Fighters, Wiz Khalifa, Jewel and Earth, Wind & Fire. In other words, as the San Diego Union-Tribune put it, “enough other veteran and young acts to ensure its multi-generational appeal.”
The Union-Tribune also provided a hint at how much an Ultimate Hang pass costs: $15,000. There were a limited number of passes — and they all sold out at that price. (For an idea of some of the chefs involved in Kaaboo Del Mar, go here.)
Kaaboo is coming to Texas in partnership with the Jerry Jones family, which certainly explains why AT&T Stadium will play host to the huge event. For more information, visit www.kaabootexas.com.
