A tasty fall retreat to Granbury

A tasty retreat

You don't need to travel far to find fine wines and special food: The Inn on Lake Granbury -- just 30 miles or so down the road -- is hosting a series of fall harvest dinners by featured chef Asdren Azemi of Fort Worth's Ruffino's Restaurant. The five-course meals with wine are $75 per person including tax and will be held Thursday and Oct. 24. Seatings will be at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The menu includes mushroom arancini with Parmigiano Reggiano; frisee salad with roasted butternut squash, pomegranate vinaigrette and candied pecans; chef-made ravioli stuffed with pumpkin, lemon sage brown butter; barolo braised short ribs, roasted root vegetables and scalloped sweet potatoes; and a sticky toffee pudding. Wines will be paired with each course. The inn, owned by Cathy Casey and Jim Leitch, opened in 2005 with 300 feet of frontage on Lake Granbury. More info:
